Going through the tricky bits
No photos of going up a lock or through a really narrow bridge as we were always too busy. Below are photos of going into a downhill lock and the Libron sluice which is a similar width to the lock entrances.
Hi Folks, most excellent blog...puts mine to shame! (www.sailblogs.com/member/greydove) Glad you made it down to the Med. Jeanette and I are on track to follow you down in Grey Dove in the Spring. Your blog will really help with journey planning. I am reading my Cevni book but keep falling asleep! I noted you were having some issues with your hf rx. On GD I have a Target HF RX and use their Meteo Lite software on my net book for weather fax and Navtex. My antenna is a 10 metre length of insulated instrument wire (about 1mm multi strand) strung along the stbd guardrail and led below through a watertight gland. Works a traet...very clear reception although I have to switch off the fridge inverter in low signal areas (Steep valleys, marinas etc). You could string it up one of the backstays or shrouds. Have a Good Christmas...DavidH
